The modalities I incorporate are all natural methods of healing and self-improvement that everyone can use.

They work in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to improve health and enhance quality of life. Their use is not dependent on one’s intellectual capacity or spiritual development and therefore is available to everyone. These therapies have no dogma, and there is nothing you must believe in in order to learn from or use them. In fact, they are not dependent on belief at all and will work whether you believe in it or not. Many people find that using these modalities puts them more in touch with the experience of their religion rather than having only an intellectual concept of it.

The human body viewed under a microscope is a vibrating mass of energy particles. To maintain optimum health, our bodies must maintain optimal vibrational frequency.

Our unique energy systems are powerfully affected by our emotions and level of internal balance. Imbalances manifest in the physical body as pain and dis-ease. Negative emotional experiences become locked into our bodies at a cellular level - these emotions become encoded in our biological systems and actually contribute to the formation of our cell tissue. We are the product of one cell. When a person is diseased, they are sick in every cell of their body. The disease is not localized but systemic - the cell, tissue or organ merely being the target.

What Is Acupuncture?

According to acupuncture theory, energy imbalances or blockages in the acupuncture meridians may lead to health problems, pain and disease. Acupuncture practitioners restore proper function and optimum health by removing these blockages and restoring balance to the acupuncture meridians. Your practitioner can provide you specific information about your particular imbalances, their impact on your health, and appropriate treatments.

How Does Acupuncture Work?

In acupuncture, disposable, stainless steel needles or Acu-lasers are used to stimulate the body's 14 major meridians or energy-carrying channels. Acupuncture decreases pain by increasing the release of endorphins, the chemicals that block pain. Many acu-points are near nerves and when stimulated, these nerves cause a dull ache or feeling of fullness in the muscle. The stimulated muscle sends a message to the central nervous system (the brain and spinal cord), causing the release of endorphins (morphine-like chemicals produced in our own bodies during times of pain or stress). So Endorphins, along with other neurotransmitters (body chemicals that modify nerve impulses), block the message of pain from being delivered up to the brain.

What Conditions Are Treated With Acupuncture?

Although it is very effective in treating many conditions and syndromes, Acupuncture is most effective at treating chronic pain, such as Headaches; Menstrual Cramps, Joint & Muscular Pain. It can also be used to treat Arthritis, Spastic Colon and Colitis conditions. Acupuncture also greatly improves the functioning of the Immune System (the body's defense system against diseases) and is very effective in treating Insomnia, Anxiety and Infertility. For certain conditions, such as cancer, acupuncture should only be performed in combination with other treatments.

What Happens During Acupuncture Treatment?

The acupuncturist will swab each acu-point area with alcohol before inserting a hair-thin, stainless steel needle into the site. The number of needles used during a treatment can vary and are placed at various depths. They are placed under the skin in carefully determined points on the body.

After the needles have been inserted, they stay in place for several minutes to an hour. During the treatment, acupuncture needles are twirled, energized electrically, or warmed to intensify the effect of the treatment. When electricity is applied, a tingling sensation is common. However, if the sensation becomes too strong, you should ask your acupuncturist to reduce the electricity. In a treatment series, the acupuncturist will use different combinations of points, different needling techniques, or both. These combinations help stimulate new sources of healing as the person's response to treatment is observed.

Does Acupuncture Hurt?

You may feel a heaviness, numbness, tingling, or mild discomfort. It is best to lie still during your treatment as moving muscles can cause a very unpleasant sensation.

But What About The FEAR Of Needles?

Laser Acupuncture is used. There are many ways to move qi and blood in the body and by using my Professional Lasers instead of acupuncture needles, you can avoid your fear of needles while still obtaining excellent results. Depending on the disease or syndrome, this laser set combination allows me to either Tonify or Sedate the various acupuncture points. This method of treatment is ideal for children and animals alike.

What Are The Advantages Of Acupuncture?

One benefit to acupuncture is that it is a drug-free way to minimize pain. With drugs, people often develop a tolerance, or the need for an increased dosage to achieve the same required effect. However, this does not happen with acupuncture. In addition, acupuncture allows the practitioner to immediately examine a person's response to the balancing and adjust it if necessary.

Is Acupuncture Safe?

Yes. When acupuncture is performed by a trained professional it is safe.Laser Acupuncture is totally pain free. With the use of  disposable needles under clean, sterile conditions, it is highly unusual to have any complications. However, it is not uncommon for slight bruising to occur at the site of insertion.

Does The Medical Establishment Approve Of Acupuncture?

Yes, the World Health Organization currently recognizes more than 40 medical problems, ranging from Allergies to AIDS, which can be helped by acupuncture treatment. Lastly, the FDA regulates acupuncture needles as medical devices.

How Often Should I Be Treated With Acupuncture?

The number of treatments required depends on each person's condition and response to acupuncture. One acupuncture session does not usually result in lasting relief. Usually at least two sessions a week for four to five weeks is a normal course of treatment. It may take several treatments before you notice any benefit, so try at least 5 or 10 treatments.

DIGITAL MERIDIAN IMAGING - Ancient Wisdom meets cutting-edge technology

Although I have been trained in Traditional Chinese Acupuncture, I have incorporated Digital Meridian Imaging as part of an integrated approach to your healthcare. The Imaging system is a computerized tool used to analyze and document the energetic status of the acupuncture meridians.

The method is based on the electrical skin resistance of points on the acupuncture meridians. By measuring electrical activity, it’s possible to plot a useful graph of the relative balance of the 12 meridians. The software then reads and converts this electrical activity into graphs which are easy to read and pin point problem areas.

The Digital Meridian Imaging System is used in a short examination by touching a probe to acupuncture points on your hands and feet. It allows me to measure and analyze the energy balance of each meridian. Armed with this information, I can make a better-informed decision about your condition and provide the best treatment possible. It provides a fast and efficient exam, intelligent analysis and allows me to easily track your progress.

Within the P.I.E ( Personal Integrated Energetics )chart, each wedge of the circle represents one meridian pathway. Your P.I.E score reflects the overall health of your Meridian Energy System.

Those shown in Green are balanced, Red are overactive or blocked, Blue are deficient and Yellow are split.
A perfect score of 100 reflects complete balance and unimpeded flow of your Qi energy. A lower score means there are various imbalances that need to be addressed.

What Is Cupping And How Does It Work?

Traditional Chinese healers have long recognized the association between pain and conditions of congestion, stagnation and blockages. An old Chinese medical maxim states: Where there is stagnation, there will be pain. Remove the stagnation, and you remove the pain. The vast majority of all illness and disease comes from stagnation, congestion and blockages - of energy, like the Vital Force, or of vital fluids like blood, phlegm or lymph. The suction applied by cupping sucks out and breaks up that congestion, stagnation, or blockage, restoring a free flow to the vital energy. In addition to dispersing and breaking up stagnation and congestion in the flow of the Vital Force, blood and other humors, cupping also disperses pathogenic heat, toxins and inflammation by bringing them to the surface for release.

Pathogenic heat and toxins can fester and eat away at the organism when they're submerged and under pressure, but they find release at the surface of the body. By drawing congested energy, blood, or other humors to the surface, cupping is a form of derivation therapy. Derivation means the drawing away or diversion of vital energies or substances away from the site of blockage and obstruction in order to relieve congestion and restore health and patency to the organism. Toxins and other congested offending matter can do more harm when they're deep within the organism, obstructing the functioning of the vital organs at the body's core. By improving the circulation of  blood, lymph and other vital fluids and breaking up and dispersing blockages and congestions of offending waste matter, toxins and morbid humors, cupping improves the eliminative functions and the evacuation of wastes from the organism.

One should understand that there will be marks or circular discolorations and whelts where the cups are applied. These are NOT bruises as Cupping does not apply trauma to the tissue. The marks will last for a few days to a week. The darker and more swollen the marks, the more stagnation and offending waste matter and toxins in the body.

TIR is a deceptively simple technique which has proven to be effective in addressing and resolving most of the symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and other unwanted after effects of trauma. Many people who do have PTSD but who still suffer from painful life experiences, could benefit significantly from TIR.

What is Reiki?

Reiki is a practice developed in 1922 by Japanese Buddhist Mikao Usui, which has since been adapted by various teachers of varying traditions. It is a profound method to help heal the body, mind and spirit. Physical pain can have non-physical roots in emotional trauma, negative thought patterns or spiritual despair. To heal the dis-ease, these root causes must be discovered and treated.

What Does Reiki Do?

Reiki is a refuge of well-being. It comforts, calms, soothes, relieves pain, speeds physical healing and releases emotional trauma from past or present.

Each organ in the body is associated with a Meridian or energy pathway along which energy flows. The essence of treatment is to stimulate or sedate these meridians, depending on whether the energy is deficient or excessive.

What Is A Chakra?

“Life force energy” flows through us all and is what causes us to be alive. Chakra in Sanskrit means "wheel" -  a vortex of vibration of light and energy. A chakra point is where two lines of energy cross. These energy centers are seen throughout history from slightly different perspectives depending on the culture from which it sprang. Each center processes different information. There are seven major chakras and many minor ones.

What Does A Chakra Balancing Do?

Each major chakra relates to a different gland. When we experience stress or trauma, our life force centers or Chakras become blocked.  Chakra balancing facilitates the flow of energy freely between the chakras, thus creating harmony within the body

If one’s life force energy is low, one is more likely to feel stressed or to get sick.

Chakra Balancing helps to clear these blockages and to restore the body to a natural state of well-being.
